INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a crash on the northeast side of Indianapolis. An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson confirmed a "serious bodily injury" crash unfolded at the intersection of East 43rd Street and North Shadeland Avenue. Public police reporting systems indicate law enforcement was called to the area around 3:32 p.m. Saturday. IMPD did not provide any details on the number of people that were injured in the crash. Police have not reported how the crash started either. IMPD, however, did confirm the crash investigation is joint effort between its officers and the Lawrence Police Department.
