Graham man charged with firstdegree murder for shooting that left 2 dead, police say

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting two people Friday night.
According to the Graham Police Department, at 10:26 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of East Hill Street. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was airlifted to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
Kenneth Uriah Francis, 29, of Burlington died from his injuries.
Jamal Isaiah Thorpe, 28, of Graham, also died from his injuries.
Derrick Ramont Spencer, 52, of Graham, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of possessing a stolen firearm.

The investigation is ongoing.
The City of Graham Police Department says additional charges for Spencer are forthcoming.
