AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Temperatures in Central Texas on Saturday climbed to the mid to upper 90s with abundant sunshine. Winds blew out of the south at 10-15 mph with isolated gusts up to 20 mph. Sunset on Saturday is 7:03 p.m. Overnight temps will drop to the mid to upper 60s with calm winds and clear skies. Sunrise Sunday morning is 7:32 a.m. Temperatures will start off refreshing Sunday morning but the heat will quickly return by the afternoon hours. High temperatures near or above the triple digits for Central Texas on Sunday Near record-high temperatures return on Sunday with high temperatures near 100°. If Camp Mabry's high temperature on Sunday reaches the triple digits, it will be the latest triple digit high temperature in ATX recorded history. Watching the temperatures Sunday afternoon The current latest triple digit day dates back to October 2nd in 1923 and 1938. Pattern Change Incoming A subtle cold front will sweep through the state of Texas sometime between late Monday into Tuesday. Winds will shift to the NE and high temperatures will return to seasonable temps in the mid 80s. Our normal high is 84°. Here comes a pattern change We've gone 37 days without measurable rainfall at Camp Mabry and our stretch of dry weather will likely continue into late next week.
