Reidsville's quarterback Dionte Neal threw a 21-yard pass to Kendre Harrison for the score, bringing the score 14-7 for the Rams. West Stokes came back. Running back Aydden Cherry went eight yards for the score. The game was then tied at 14. But Reidsville was back on offense. Jariel Cobb came out of the backfield and was gone. He went 48 yards for the score. Rams were then up 21-14. The Wildcats were inside the five-yard line, and Cherry went one more time for the score, bringing the game to 21-21. The Rams were on the two-yard line. Dionte Neal was on the quarterback keeper, and Reidsville was up by seven points. Right before halftime, Wildcats quarterback Sam Reeves connected with Derek Studer for a touchdown. This game was a shoot-out. Reidsville won 57-41 over West Stokes. Frenzy Highlights Grimsley has dominated the Metro4A Conference recently, but Northern Guilford could have a chance to challenge them if the Nighthawks get past Northwest Guilford tonight. The Vikings' only loss was to Grimsley, and the Nighthawks were undefeated at this point. It was a big match-up in Guilford County. The first time Northern had the ball, Jaxson Kemp directed a 14-play drive. He held on for 20 years. Moments later, Dwight Hall helped the Nighthawks take the lead. Kemp went deep, and the Vikings got the interception, but this game belonged to the Northern defense. Northern Guilford ground out a 17-10 win over Northwest to move to 7-0. Let's stay with the big-time match-ups, but switch to Alamance County. 5-1 Western Alamance made the short trip to Burlington to take on an unbeaten Williams team on homecoming night. The winner takes over sole possession of first place. Dan Mahan connected with William Overby who stepped right into the endzone. The Bulldogs were leading 28-0. Western looked to respond, but Ethan Oakley's pass downfield was picked off by Leontae Turner. The Bulldogs took advantage with a touchdown by Amarion Richmond to make it a 35-point game at the half. The Warriors were trying to turn things around. James Newton got the handoff and picked up some critical yards. Newton thence carried the rock across the field and into the endzone for the first Western score of the night. Williams went on to win by 49-21.
