BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPOUD) — St. Amant caught a break early in the first quarter after a muffed punt by Walker, giving them great field position to score the first touchdown just a few minutes into the game. That was all the scoring in the first quarter, but the Wildcats responded in the second quarter with a field goal to cut the lead to 7-3. The Gators started to get their offense going, driving to Walker's 7-yard line. Quarterback Cooper Babin capped off the drive with a rushing touchdown, giving St. Amant a 14-3 lead. The Gators were looking for more points before half by Jonathan Musso picked off Babin to keep the score to 14-3. Walker put up a fight in the second half, but they couldn't keep up with St Amant's high-powered offense, The Gators got the win 33-26.
