BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPOUD) — Madison Prep gets the best against Southern Lab for the second straight season, 36-26. Chargers quarterback Tylan Johnson, who leads the passers with 1,081 yards and 11 touchdowns, was a key factor in Madison Prep's win. The game was tied at 12 at the half. Southern Lab came out of the break firing, scoring a touchdown on their first possession of the third quarter, giving the Kittens a 20-12 lead. The Chargers continued to struggle, fumbling later in the third, giving the ball right back to the Kittens. Southern Lab cashed in on the turnover a few plays later with a Trevoris Norman touchdown, giving them a 26-14 lead entering the fourth quarter. The momentum started to swing in Madison Prep's favor after they blocked a punt, resulting in a safety. The Chargers kept their foot on the gas, shutting out Southern Lab in the fourth quarter, leading them to their third straight win.
