COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A man is dead after he reportedly struck a utility pole while driving in south Columbus on Saturday morning. Around 6:13 a.m., Kendall White, 32, was operating a gray Chevy Malibu westbound on Frebis Avenue approaching Ohio Avenue, according to the Columbus Division of Police.  Former Columbus City School teacher sentenced for distributing monkey torture videos White crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane before striking a pole. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and was pronounced dead at 7:23 a.m., police said. The crash remains under investigation.
