Skies are mostly cloudy across the region this morning, thanks to a frontal boundary that has set up across the area. We are dry though, and will stay dry for the morning, with a few chances for some showers this afternoon. Most will be dry during the day. Temperatures this morning are rising from the mid-50s, and will reach the 60° mark by 10 AM and still seeing mostly cloudy skies then. A jacket or sweatshirt is not needed this morning. High temperatures across the area will vary based on location to the front. Areas north of the front, such as Angola, will only see high temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Areas along and south of the stationary front will see highs in the mid-to-upper 70s, with some spots potentially seeing 80s again today. As mentioned, there is a slight chance for a rain shower this afternoon, but most stay dry. Somewhat better chances arrive overnight in the form of more scattered showers, and even a few storms along or north of the front. The placement of the rain/storm chances will depend on the alignment of the front, which looks to place itself in our northern counties, or into Michigan. This will provide lower rain chances for Fort Wayne and areas south, with better chances for showers and storms north of the Fort. A few scattered showers this afternoon. High temperatures vary across the area. With the frontal boundary nearby, low temperatures will fall only into the mid-50s as to start our Sunday. Some additional showers remain possible Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s to wrap up the weekend. Temperatures cool throughout the weekend with the passage of a frontal system. By early next week, the coldest air of the season arrives, as we finally really start to feel like fall around here. Look for highs in the 50s from Monday through Wednesday. Low temperatures will also dip into the 30s, so we'll be on the lookout for frost. The coldest air of the season so far is on the way early next week! By late next week, temperatures will rebound and we'll track the return of the 60s and 70s by the weekend.
