FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Four men have been arrested, and a large amount of drugs, firearms and cash have been seized from a property near a high school in Fresno, after deputies dismantled an illegal drug sales event. Deputies say they received a tip alleging illegal drug sales in an open-to-the-public setting. On Thursday, detectives say they served a search warrant at a home in the 3800 block of N. Grantland Ave. They discovered approximately 100 people in and around a shop located behind a home. Deputies say they learned many vendors gather at the location, just south of Justin Garza High School, several times a week to illegally sell drugs during an event called "Sunday Funday." According to deputies, the event has been taking place since at least the beginning of the year. Because of its proximity to the high school, the Sheriff's Office says there is a possibility that students were aware of the events and made purchases there. Detectives say they ultimately arrested four men, recovered four handguns and seized 400 pounds of processed marijuana, 120 pounds of THC edibles, 60 pounds of concentrated cannabis, 11 pounds of THC vape products, 112 oz of Promethazine syrup, 7 pounds of Psilocybin mushrooms and small amounts of Cocaine, LSD, MDMA, Ketamine, DMT and Alprazolman pills (Xanax).
