CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A dog is dead and a family, including two children, is without a home after a late-night house fire in Chesterfield County on Friday. Just before 9:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, firefighters with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were called to the 10700 block of Timberun Road for report of a house fire. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke pouring from the home and a fire burning in the kitchen. Scene of an Oct. 11 house fire in Chesterfield County. A dog died as a result of the fire. While they were all able to make it out of the home without injuries, two adults and two children were displaced by the fire's damage to the structure.
