BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) — Friday was Hollywood Service's last day in business. Butch Newland opened the full-service repair shop 50 years ago at the intersection of Hollywood Avenue and Monroe Avenue. Newland tells News 8 that hand-written letters, paid lunches for him and his employees, and more have been coming in all week. Newland says he'll spend his unplanned retirement with his family, and remembers his customers fondly. Their family comes here, their kids come here, their grandkids come here, their cousins come here, and brothers… And that makes my heart warm," he said. "That's what I want to do, take care of people. It's not money, I enjoy what I do, (and) I enjoy my customers. We've become friends, and I will miss them dearly"
