Multivehicle crash blocks lane on Madera County highway

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A multi-vehicle crash blocked a lane on a Madera County highway on Friday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers say they responded to the area of Highway 99, just south of Avenue 21 1/2 in Madera County at around 3 p.m. for a multi-vehicle crash.
A picture shared by the California Highway Patrol shows a black SUV behind a white car on the shoulder of the freeway. The black SUV is shown blocking the far-left lane of the highway.
Officers responded to the scene to direct traffic around the crash while the vehicles were removed from the road.
No information about injuries has been released. The number of vehicles involved is also unknown at this time.
