OAKS — Former President Donald Trump will visit this region for the second time in two weeks on Monday as he plans to hold a town hall in Montgomery County, according to a statement from the Trump campaign. The town hall is slated to take place Monday, Oct. 14, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center and Fairgrounds, 100 Station Ave., in Oaks, Upper Providence Township. Trump is scheduled to address attendees at 6 p.m. The town hall with the Republican presidential candidate is being promoted as covering “top concerns for Pennsylvania households,” which are expected to focus on the economy, fracking, inflation, trade, and voting, according to the campaign advisory statement. Doors are expected to open at 2 p.m. on Oct. 14. Those interested in attending can sign up for general admission tickets online. Trump brought his campaign to Berks County on Oct. 9 with a rally at the Santander Arena in Reading. His running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, also will hold an event this weekend in Berks County. Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat, was in Philadelphia back in August as she formally introduced her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, to a crowd during a rally at Temple University’s Liacouras Center. Both candidates are vying for the swing state of Pennsylvania, where Philadelphia’s collar counties like Montgomery County have long been considered key battleground areas in the upcoming election.
