BAXLEY, Ga. (WSAV) – Appling County Schools will return to the classroom next week after a two-week closure due to Hurricane Helene. Poor road conditions and power outages have kept doors closed since Sept. 26. In a statement released Friday, the district announced that staff will return on Tuesday followed by students on Wednesday. Meanwhile, those with affected bus routes due to road conditions can expect a call from the transportation department.
