NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Transportation created a Traffic Safety Garden where kids can practice positive traffic safety behavior. The garden is located at NMDOT's campus in Santa Fe and is open to the public throughout the month. The NMDOT designed traffic garden is made with spaces commonly seen on New Mexico roads—intersections with and without marked crosswalks, railroad crossings, roads without sidewalks, and roundabouts.
