NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for the entire West Bank of New Orleans. According to the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, water pressures in the area fell below 20 PSI due to a momentary pump interruption. As of now, all pumping has been returned to normal. Firefighters respond to housefire in Metairie Residents should take precautions to avoid activities that could lead to consumption of tap water that hasn't been boiled for a full minute, and those with compromised immune systems should use safe water to wash hands, shower or bathe. The SWBNO will notify residents when the advisory is cancelled. A map of the affected area is available here. Anyone with questions can call 504-529-2837.
