HANCOCK COUNTY Ind. -- Authorities are on the scene of a crash that brought traffic to a standstill in the eastbound lanes of I-70 for several hours near Greenfield early Friday evening. The Hancock County 911 Center confirmed that emergency crews were dispatched to Mile Marker 103.6 near the Greenfield exit in response to reports indicating a multi-vehicle crash occurred in the area. Authorities confirmed around 5:15 p.m. that that roadway had reopened to passing motorists. As of this article’s publication, authorities have not confirmed how many vehicles were involved in the crash. FOX59/CBS4 is working to learn more about the circumstances that led to Friday’s crash.
