MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - After months of waiting for the full celebration, Menasha is finally going to have its weekend in the spotlight. Menasha's Sesquicentennial Celebration was originally planned for late June, but inclement weather forced it to be rescheduled, and locals will finally get the chance to have their part 150 years in the making on Friday and Saturday. Packers wrap up Military Appreciation Week with Salute to Service Flag Football Tournament A plethora of events and activities are set to go on throughout Friday and Saturday with food trucks available from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday. There will be carnival rides and kids activities as well. At 7 p.m. Menasha High School will host their homecoming game against Sheboygan South. For those not attending the football game but still looking for live entertainment, there are going to be musical guests from 5 p.m. and on until a drone show kicks off at 10 p.m. on Friday. "We really wanted to do it downtown and take advantage of this unique setting that we have," Events Chairman George Davis said. "It's a really great venue for us to put the drones up in the air and have people see them, but it's also a great way to keep all of our local businesses right here and a part of it." Aurora BayCare utilizes Blackhawk Helicopter to help with ‘mock’ training for evacuations Saturday night's festivities start a little earlier with both the food trucks and carnival games opening up around 3 p.m. along with more live music throughout the afternoon and evening hours. It will once again culminate in a drone light show at 10 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, visit the Menasha 150 website.
