(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Oct. 8 on the southeast side of Colorado Springs. According to CSPD, 28-year-old Jose Luis Miranda Reza died as a a result of gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting in the 2600 block of Durango Drive, near the Hancock Expressway and Delta Drive. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Police investigating overnight shooting near Hancock Expy CSPD said officers originally responded to a report of a shooting at the Durango Drive address around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and when they got to the scene, they found Reza dead. While the El Paso County Coroner's Office will determine the official cause and manner of death, Reza's death is being investigated as a homicide.
