NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Fashion is dynamic and diverse, no matter where you live, and brands cater to a wide array of tastes and preferences.
However, every state has its own fashion identity, and style is constantly changing, making it hard for brands to keep the top spot.
A new study looked into the most popular fashion brands and offered insights into the driving factors of consumer choices and cultural influences.
Sizify conducted the study by analyzing Google Trends data to find the most popular fashion brands in each state.
GAP and Shein shared the top spot, but what brand are North Dakotans reaching for and buying the most?

It's GAP! It's known for its casual style with comfortable staples. The versatility makes it a household name in Alabama, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Carolina, Utah, and West Virginia.
Shein was also a top contender, but in California, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. It's known for fast fashion and affordable prices and appeals to the younger, more trend-conscious audience.
ASOS, Zara, H&M, Nordstrom, Uniqlo, Louis Vuitton, Marshalls, Chanel, Nike, Hanes, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, TJ Maxx, and Adidas are other notable mentions.
Minnesota's top brand is Nordstrom, South Dakota likes Uniqlo, and Montana chooses TJ Maxx.
"It's no surprise to see brands like Shein and GAP leading the charge across multiple states. Shein has capitalized on the demand for fast, affordable fashion, particularly with Gen Z, who crave new styles at lightning speed," said a Sizify spokesperson. "On the other hand, GAP has maintained its stronghold by offering timeless essentials that resonate with a wide range of consumers, from working professionals to families."
