MINOT, ND (KXNET) — The Roosevelt Park Zoo is holding two events in the coming week where kids can learn about the animals they have. On Saturday, October 12, Roosevelt Park Zoo will be celebrating African Penguin Day. The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will have scavenger hunts and guessing games for kids, along with a special penguin feeding and keeper chat at 10:30 a.m.  On Sunday, Oct. 20, The Greater Minot Zoological Society is hosting its own event at the Roosevelt Park Zoo, called the Boo at the Zoo. The zoo will only be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. Saddle up for healing: CPable and equine therapy transforms lives, one ride at a time Kids are invited to come in their Halloween costumes and be ready to trick or treat with many local vendors, make some crafts, or enjoy some hot chocolate or apple cider, all while taking a stroll through the zoo.
