WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A 16-year-old Wichita boy who was critically injured in a shooting on Wednesday has died. The shooting happened just after 8 a.m. in the 9100 block of E. Harry. Wichita police say the boy passed away this morning. The 46-year-old mother was arrested after police alleged that she shot him. Police say the charges against her are being amended to include second-degree murder. "This is a tragic incident that has forever altered a family," Chief Joseph Sullivan said in a statement.
