ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A hot air balloon caused KKOB's radio tower to collapse in Albuquerque's North Valley Friday morning, according to Bernalillo County Fire Rescue. No injuries were reported, and the balloon was able to land safely somewhere else, BCFR said. Fire crews were called out to the scene at 10511 2nd Street NW near Diers Road NW. A Balloon Fiesta spokesperson confirmed that balloon banner #028 clipped one of the two radio towers located west of Balloon Fiesta Park.  Cumulus Broadcasting engineers are assessing the second tower, the spokesperson said.
