The second annual Fall Festival at the Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove in Jurupa Valley will be held 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. At the free event, attendees can pick pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, sourced from local farmers, and decorate them on site, and there will be food provided by El Sabor de Las 8 Regiones and Kona Ice, according to a news release. There will be a self-guided scavenger hunt, with completed entries eligible for drawings for tickets to Knott’s Scary Farm and Castle Dark, and local organizations will have booths offering activities, giveaways and information on upcoming events. The festival also features live performances by Kalli Tecpatl and Ballet Folklórico Amor, Cultura y Tradición. In addition to scheduled activities, those at the festival can view the Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove’s biodiversity garden, the recently installed pollinator garden, the native plant nursery and more. Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove partner organizations will be on site to answer questions about upcoming events, the property’s master plan progress and the short- and long-term volunteer programs on site. The Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove, at 5370 Riverview Drive, Jurupa Valley, is a 40-acre property along the Santa Ana River in Jurupa Valley. The site is owned by Riverside County Regional Parks and Open Space District and is under the management of four local agencies — Huerta del Valle, a nonprofit, and three government agencies, Inland Empire Resource Conservation District, Orange County Water District and the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District.
