MANDEVILLE (WGNO) — WGNO is live from the town of Mandeville! The community is invited to bring their families, friends and blankets to enjoy a free Friday concert series. Kicking off on Oct. 11, the series will last until Nov. 1. Artists including Gregg Martinez, Phunky Monkeys, Sugar Shaker and Deacon John will hit the stage located at the Mandeville Trailhead Amphitheater. 35 miles of bike riding fun from Covington to Slidell along Tammany Trace Built as the town center of Mandeville, officials with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation explained that the trailhead is used as a historical, environmental, and cultural interpretive center for both residents and tourists.  Not only will you find kind-hearted people on the trailhead but also, the Tammany Trace. A 31-mile "rails-to-trails" recreational path home to The Mandeville Trailhead Community Market. One visit alone will get you acquainted with the local farmers, artisans and small business owners selling their produce, crafts and goods. Visiting Old Mandeville? Check out some of their Bed & Breakfasts Some hardworking Mandeville residents selling at the trailhead will be Beverly Blackburn who handcrafts yard ornaments such as wind chimes and fence decorations. Linda McNealy, the owner of "Purse-onality" makes purses that "last forever and go with everything." Larry Burret also be on the trail selling his handmade and decorated Pelicans that can double as a plant holder. In Mandeville, a QR code is your tour guide to history Finally, after a long day of shopping, you can stop by Willies Taste of Soul for their "Twisted Red Beans." "We offer soul food and it's a good healing station for you," said Owner Willie Richardson.
