Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 11)–Another reminder from Lincoln Police to be careful on who you answer the phone to because it could be someone using a caller ID of a financial institution that says there’s something wrong with your account and they need verification from you to fix it. Captain Todd Kocian  says this past Tuesday, a 41-year-old Lincoln woman lost $372 from her bank account, after she got a phone call from someone that appeared to be from Wells Fargo. The scammer told the victim there was some fraudulent activity on her account and then was asked to confirm some codes sent to her phone. Once that was done, the money was gone. The woman contacted Wells Fargo, who told her it was a scam.
