LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Today marked the second annual blood drive with Kentucky Sports Radio and the Kentucky Blood Center. While fans gathered at Kentucky Branded to hear from the KSR crew, KBC set up shop right outside the store with their Blood Mobile. Eric Lindsey with the Kentucky Blood Center says he hopes people will come out before, after, or even during the show to donate blood. He added that they often do partnerships like this in order to spread awareness about the importance of donating blood and to give people the opportunity to have a convenient, fast donation experience. KBC serves over 70 hospitals in the Commonwealth. Lindsey says they need at least 400 donors a day to keep up with the demand. The KSR Blood Drive was from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kentucky Branded Fayette Mall location.
