The images, provided by Maxar Technologies, show before and after the hurricane swept through areas of St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Siesta Key and more. Included in the satellite images is a view of Tropicana Field with the roof blown off and neighborhoods with water flooding the streets. Tampa sees 5x the usual October rainfall due to Hurricane Milton Hurricane Milton made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane on Oct. 9, roughly two weeks after Hurricane Helene, and left at least eight dead and millions without power. In Tampa, Milton produced 12 inches of rain, more than five times the normal amount of rain for October. The normal amount for the entire month is usually 2.3 inches. Residents of the coastal Florida cities have begun recovery and repair efforts as they look to bounce back from the storms.
