WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was shot in Northwest D.C. early Friday.
Police said that at about 4:30 a.m., they responded to the 2300 block of Sherman Avenue for the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had been shot.

The man was conscious and breathing.
He was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
