ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – An East Rochester Police officer was hit by a car as the driver fled during a traffic stop near East Linden Avenue Thursday night. According to MCSO, deputies responded around 11:14 p.m. to assist the East Rochester Police Department after a driver struck the officer and crashed his vehicle nearby when fleeing from police. MCSO says the suspect then fled on foot. MCSO says this happened near the area of East Linden Avenue and Whitney Road. The officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. ERPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
