HONOLULU (KHON2) -- An Oahu Community Correctional Center work furlough inmate who went missing has been returned to custody. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You Forty-three-year-old Shaun E. Fleetwood went missing after he failed to return to Module 20 on Tuesday. Inmate fails to return from work furlough on Oahu Officials said he left on a furlough pass and was supposed to return by 10 a.m. the same day. He is a "community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. The Department of Law Enforcement Sheriffs Division and the Honolulu Police Department were notified of the situation. Honolulu police reported that Fleetwood was arrested when he turned himself in at HPD's downtown headquarters just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Prior to escaping OCCC, Fleetwood was serving time for second-degree sexual assault. He will now face a second-degree escape charge, which is punishable by up to five years if convicted.
