Recent history favors San Francisco in this series, as the 49ers hold a 29-21 edge in regular season matchups, including winning the last four. The 49ers are 2-3 on the season, with wins over the Jets and Patriots, and losses to the Vikings, Rams, and Cardinals. A combination of bad luck with injuries and facing two familiar NFC West rivals has put the 49ers in an early season hole. Meanwhile, the Seahawks hold a 3-2 record, with wins over the Broncos, Patriots, and Dolphins to start the season, but lost to the Lions in Week 4, then fell victim to the “Lions Hangover” and lost to the Giants last week. Betting line and pick for the game While both teams are coming off losses, the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook are favoring San Francisco and have set the betting line at 49ers -3.5 points. We all know the main side effect of the “Lions Hangover” is that you lose your next game. But if you take it a step further, you’ll see that all Lions opponents followed up their loss by beating their next opponent in a “get-right” game. Of note, the “get-right” opponent for the Rams and Cardinals was ironically the 49ers. So, can Seattle perform the AFC West trifecta and also beat the 49ers in their “get-right” game?
