ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — This week's Primetime 585 Spotlight Team is Spencerport girls soccer. The defending state champions are 12-0-1 so far this season, outscoring their opponents 64-5. Leading the Rangers are senior Lindsay Lenhard with 20 goals and 18 assists and junior Emily Peacock with 22 goals and 11 assists. Peacock said the team's relationship on and off the field has contributed to their success. "We work really well as a team, and we're all friends. We all love each other, we're always excited to be at practice, so it's just a really good environment to be around," Peacock said. "It just really shows on the field." Spencerport's defense is led by sophomore goalkeeper Addison Lynch, earning nine shutouts through 13 games. Lynch gave credit to her defenders, who have helped her earn six of those shutouts in a row. "We just communicate really well, we're always aggressive on defense, and like Lindsay said, we always know when to get it out or play feet," Lynch said. "With a bunch of new players, it's just having everybody connecting with each other." One of those young players is freshman Calla Crowley. With expectations coming off of successful seasons in the past, Crowley said she is not focused on what is behind them. "It's a mentality of on to the next thing," she said. "We can't dwell on what Kendall did or what years past have done. We're now.''
