PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A teacher at Walnut Hill Elementary School in Petersburg was charged following allegations that she assaulted one of her students. According to the Petersburg Bureau of Police, Anasia Monroe with Petersburg City Public Schools was charged with the assault and battery of a 9-year-old boy in her class. Monroe has also been served with a protective order on behalf of the child.
