Look for a clear and chilly night tonight, then milder weather returns tomorrow.
Hurricane Milton made landfall yesterday evening near Siesta Key in Florida. It was a Category 3 storm with winds of 120mph.
Milton will continue to move away from the United States. As of Noon, it was still a hurricane, according the National Hurricane Center. The east coast of Florida will see a 3-6foot storm surge from Milton through this afternoon.

Is seeing the Northern Lights on your bucket list? Tonight may offer another great opportunity locally. The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch for tonight....that's actually pretty rare. Tonight's aurora could be as spectacular as what we had back in May.
There are early indications that this may start early Tonight not long after sunset. Specific timing is difficult to predict. Check on our social media pages and this web page for updates
It'll be chilly tonight with temperatures dropping through the 50s and 40s this evening. Overnight lows will be in the 30...some frost is possible. Protect any sensitive plants.
FRIDAY FORECAST: Chilly Start, Milder Finish
Cold start to the day tomorrow, but the afternoon will be milder....mid 60s with sunshine.
LOOKING AHEAD
The mild weather will stick around into Saturday....40s in the morning, low 70s in the afternoon.
