But as I got older, as I began to seriously study these subjects, I outpaced you. I came to a critical anticolonial position, to which you have always been eager to reply, “Well they tried that in Russia…” to prove you cannot hear me at all. You are in it for the spectacle, the story, the twists and turns of dynamics that you do not understand except as entertainment. CNN is football for dweebs that consider the struggle for ethics to be a game. At least football is supposed to be a spectacle. Worse, you are not alone. Your feeble comprehension is widespread, so common as to be unremarkable. American politics is intended to be a spectacle, circuses without bread, gallows and gibbets and genocide for the pleasure of settlers. You are happy to clap for cruelty like the anglo barbarian you always were.
