Olive Branch window company closes, lays off 147 workers

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — An Olive Branch business is closing its doors, leaving 147 employees out of a job.
View Operating Corporation, which manufactured "smart windows" that tint automatically, notified the state of Tennessee of the layoffs Oct. 3. According to the filing, 69 of the company's workers live in Tennessee.
According to the company's website, in April 2024, View filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to restructure its balance sheet.
Thursday, no one at the company was available to talk.
