DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) — The Saint Norbert College Board of Trustees celebrated the formal inauguration of Laurie Joyner as the institution's ninth president on Thursday. Joyner, who began her role in July 2023, was welcomed with high hopes for her leadership and vision. She has a wealth of experience, having served in senior leadership roles at several prominent universities. A noted leader in Catholic higher education, she serves on the board of the Association of Catholic Colleges & Universities. She is a two-time recipient of the POWER 50 award, honoring influential female executives in the Dayton, Ohio, area, and has received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. The inauguration ceremony featured remarks from college officials, faculty, and students, who expressed enthusiasm about Joyner’s appointment and optimism for the college’s future under her leadership.
