"Farming is a cornerstone of what northeast Wisconsin's history has been and future will be," Wello Executive Director Natalie Bomstead said. "We're really grateful for this opportunity to work with farmers in our region to invest in them and thereby invest in the wellbeing of our people here."
Among the food pantries and partners that received the food were:
We All Rise: African American Resource Center Inc.
COMSA
Vivent Health
Innovative Services Inc.
Brown County WIC
NWTC Shared Harvest Pantry
St. Vincent de Paul of Marinette
Multiple school food pantries also received the donations. The program has generated over $2 million in economic impact across northeast Wisconsin since 2017.
