Near record heat for ACL Weekend Two
Oct 10, 2024
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Our long hot and dry stretch continues. Austin now is rain-free at Camp Mabry for 35 straight days. which is our 28th longest dry stretch in record keeping history.
In addition to the heat, the air remains very dry which has caused vegetation to be more prone to fire development. The stagnant air is also causing higher ozone levels and another Air Quality Alert is in effect for Friday.
Ozone Action Day today
ACL Weekend Two is looking hotter than ACL Weekend one with high temperatures challenging records on Sunday.
