MANASSAS, Va. (DC News Now) —A Manassas Park man accused of concealing a dead body in connection to his wife's disappearance is due back in court. Naresh Bhatt is in custody after his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt, went missing back in July.  Supporters of Mamta said they will be at the hearing wearing green, which was Mamta's favorite color.  They said they will not rest until they've found her.  The motion hearing will focus on the validity of the search warrant and what evidence will be allowed in court.  Naresh's defense argues that without a body, there is no probable cause.  “I think that’s the hardest part to this case obviously beyond the fact that we know she didn’t survive what happened to her in that home,” said Mamta’s former co-worker, Holly Wirth. “We want to bring Mamta home for her family. We want them to have a sense of closure and unfortunately, that remains in limbo, you know, knowing that we haven’t been able to find her actual remains at the point.” Person, dog injured after being hit by car in Montgomery County Mamta's supporters said the motion by the defense was just a ploy to exclude as much evidence as possible.  Her supporters said however, that they are confident the evidence against Naresh is substantial.  Mamta supporters said they hope the defense loses these motions.  They also hope the commonwealth can bring the wealth of evidence they have against Naresh to solidify its case against him and bring on additional charges.  Her supporters said they will continue to pass out flyers throughout the community to help find Mamta. They also plan to hold a domestic violence vigil at Signal Hill Park on October 20th to help others like her. “October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and so while we want to keep talking about Mamta’s story, we also want to empower other individuals that may be that may be in a vulnerable situation on how they can get free from their abuse,” said Wirth. Naresh Bhatt’s trial is set for December 9th.
