Overhead sign on I91 in Enfield hit vehicle after crash

ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) - A truck mounted with a crane traveling on I-91 in Enfield struck a bridge causing an overhead sign to hit another vehicle.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at around 9:12 a.m. troopers were called to a report of a commercial vehicle crash on the northbound side of I-91 before Exit 47W in Enfield. The crane mounted to the truck struck the Route 190 bridge overpass.
The crash caused a large metal sign affixed to the bridge to fall and hit a vehicle. Police say minor injuries were reported.

The bridge is being inspected by members of the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The right three of four lanes are closed at this time as crews work to clear the area.
