Park City Community Foundation announced Thursday its 14th annual Live PC Give PC, a day of community giving, will be on Friday, Nov. 15, and this year’s goal is to raise $5 million from 7,300 donors for all its nonprofits during that 24-hour period. Last year set a record at 7,160 donors making over 16,000 donations to raise a bit more than $4.8 million, the foundation said. “The idea is to get the entire community involved, which is why the minimum donation to participate is set at a modest five dollars. We measure our success as much by the number of unique donors as we do by the total funds raised,” explains Park City Community Foundation President and CEO Joel Zarrow. “The participating nonprofits serve Park City, Summit County, Wasatch County, and some even make a statewide impact. For many, Live PC Give PC is their biggest fundraiser of the year, so it’s critical for them to operate their programs and serve their communities. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to get involved in this inclusive day of giving.”Live PC Give PC has raised nearly $31 million during the past 13 years in what has become something of a local holiday, according to the foundation. Anyone looking to donate can do so online through a central hub where donors can select the nonprofits they’d like to support and the amount to donate to each. Early giving is open, the foundation said, but they recommend to wait until Nov. 15 because organizations that get the most donations that day also receive cash boosts. Many nonprofits also receive matching grants, which double the donations made. Those who donated in 2023 will have this year’s contributions boosted by $10. Nonprofits compete for $37,000 in prize money, which Park City Community Foundation awards to those that get the most unique donors, the foundation said.In-person celebrations and other activities that cater to all members of the community will be held beginning late afternoon on Nov. 15. From 4-6 p.m., all ages are invited to the Giving Day Fest at Park City Library to enjoy music, free tacos, hot chocolate, face painting and games. Later that evening, the party will pick up at High West Saloon with DJ Luva Luva from 8 p.m. to midnight for donors, nonprofits, volunteers and members of the community who are 21 and over. For more info and to donate, visit livepcgivepc.org.The post Live PC Give PC set for Nov. 15 and looks to break last year’s donation record appeared first on Park Record.
