RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) has announced that, because its shelters are full, it will waive adoption fees for all adoptable animals through Sunday, Oct. 13. RACC is open from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is also waiving adopting fees for all of its adult dogs today as it continues to receive animals from areas affected by Hurricane Helene. After today, adoption fees will be discounted at Richmond SPCA for the rest of October.
