MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The community is helping a family who lost their home to a fire in Middleborough on Monday. Crews responded to a home on France Street at 2:11 a.m. Monday. Lakeville Fire Department provided assistance, providing water supply and suppression operations. According to the organizer of the GoFundMe, local restaurant owners Melissa and Tom Monte and their 22-month-old daughter, Olivia, lost everything that night in the fire. “In the aftermath of this devastating event, they are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs,” states the GoFundMe. “We’re rallying together to support them during this incredibly difficult time,” it further states.
