SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A car that crashed into a building left two people injured early Thursday morning. Authorities say that around 4:11 a.m. emergency personnel responded to an apartment building near W. 3rd and N. Elmwood Ave for an SUV that had collided with a building. Upon arrival, a previously reported stolen SUV was found entirely in an apartment, and the occupants of the SUV had fled. The vehicle had been traveling south in a makeshift alley, off the roadway, and not in the lot of the complex, before colliding with the building. IM 29 proponents upset with negative ads Inside the apartment, a young juvenile resident who had been sleeping was found with life-threatening injuries, as well as an adult male resident with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and both were taken to the hospital. Police say alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Witnesses claim that 2 women and 1 man left the vehicle and fled the scene. The driver is unknown. No arrests have been made. An investigation into the crash is ongoing and the search for the people in the SUV continues.
