(File photo Courtesy of Nebraska Athletics)LINCOLN–(NU Athletics Oct. 9)–The Nebraska women’s basketball team expects to have at least 10 games televised by Big Ten TV partners in 2024-25, the conference announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The Huskers, who are coming off a 23-win campaign that included a run to the Big Ten Championship Game and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, are scheduled for eight appearances on the Big Ten Network, along with a Sunday, Feb. 2 match-up at Indiana televised by FS1. The Huskers are also set to battle Michigan (Feb. 6) on Peacock as part of the Big Ten’s television package. Nebraska, which will have a minimum of 17 games streamed live by B1G+, is scheduled for its first Big Ten Network appearance when the Huskers face traditionally strong South Dakota at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tip time between the Big Red and the Coyotes is scheduled for 5 p.m.. The Huskers will open Big Ten play at Pinnacle Bank Arena against Minnesota on Sunday, Dec. 8, in a game televised live by BTN at 1 p.m. They will be back on BTN for their first-ever Big Ten California road trip when the Big Red take on USC on New Year’s Day at 2 p.m. (CT). Nebraska will play back-to-back Big Ten games on BTN beginning with a Thursday night road trip to Iowa (Jan. 16, 6 p.m.) before returning home to face Wisconsin on Monday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. Husker fans can expect a full dose of the Big Red on TV in February, beginning with the FS1 showcase at Indiana on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. (CT). After Nebraska’s home game against Michigan on Peacock (Feb. 6, 7 p.m.), the Huskers play three consecutive BTN games against Iowa (Feb. 10, 7 p.m.), at Maryland (Feb. 13, 5:30 p.m.) and at Illinois (Feb. 16, 4:30 p.m.). Nebraska’s regular-season home finales against Oregon and Washington are both set for B1G+ video streams, before the Huskers close the regular season at Northwestern (March 2), in a potential BTN wildcard game. Final TV designations for the game against the Wildcats will be made the week of Feb. 17. The Big Ten Tournament will offer more opportunities for telecasts, including the potential for CBS national coverage in the Big Ten Championship Game. Last season, Nebraska played in front of a sellout crowd of more than 18,000 at the Target Center in Minneapolis and a CBS national television audience of more than 4.77 million in the championship game on CBS – the largest viewership for a women’s basketball game on CBS in more than two decades. Nebraska’s regular-season upset of No. 2 Iowa at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Feb. 11 also pulled in 1.772 million viewers on FOX – the most-watched women’s college basketball game in FOX Sports history at the time. Season ticket sales for Husker women’s basketball have increased more than 10 percent over 2023-24. Last season, Nebraska ranked 15th nationally in average home attendance with 6,088 fans per game – the 14th consecutive year the Huskers have ranked among the top 25 nationally in women’s basketball attendance. Overall Nebraska women’s sports were the No. 1 draw in the nation last season, with a four-sport attendance of 418,198 across women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball.
