INDIANAPOLIS -- A search warrant from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department led to the recovery of multiple handguns, as well as methamphetamine. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the violent crime task force for the department's northwest district, along with the department's SWAT team, conducted a search of a home on the near east side of Indianapolis on Wednesday. Florida truck driver convicted of killing co-worker in White County Court documents, filed on Thursday in Marion County, allege that Ronald Castellanos was selling firearms on his Instagram account. Castellanos reportedly had several Glock handguns on his Instagram story that he had listed for sale, some of which had machine gun conversion devices on them. Detectives linked Castellanos to a home on the near east side of Indianapolis. A search of the home led to Castellanos and another person, identified by IMPD as Brenijah Hollis, were taken into custody. During the search, officials seized eight handguns, 20 grams of methamphetamine as well as $3,480 in cash. The post read that two of the handguns were modified with machine gun conversion devices. "It should be noted that the firearms recovered from the home matched the pictures on the Instagram that were listed for sale," the documents read. "The two firearms with switches, one gold and one silver, were posted on the Instagram for sale and were recovered." As a result of the search, the two individuals were arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a machine gun, a Level 5 felony. "This successful operation is a testament to the outstanding work of our VCTF detectives in keeping our community safe," the post read.
