ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Special shape balloons took center stage on Day 6 of the 52nd Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta; Thursday's main event was the Special Shape Rodeo. High winds kept many of the special shapes from lifting off, but static displays still made for great views on the field. Here are the new special shape balloons to look for at the 52nd Balloon Fiesta This year, 106 special shape balloons registered to participate in the festival, with 16 of those being new shapes. The new shapes include Macaw Red, Macaw Blue, Météo, Police Dog, Barx, Mazu, Hunter - The Fox, Capitao Caverna, D-Ohtb, Frank Boy, Turtle, Churro, Candy House, The Brain, Zozobra, and Sir-Mix-A-Lot.
