(WHTM) – A recall has been issued for more than 2 million Fisher-Price infant swings after five deaths were reported. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), all models of the Fisher-Price Suga Swings are being recalled due to the possibility of suffocation. The CPSC said five deaths involving infants 1 to 3 months old were reported between 2012 and 2022. The swings were being used for sleep, and in most of the instances, "the infants were unrestrained and bedding materials were added to the product." Over 9 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat, poultry recalled: USDA "Parents and caregivers should never use any inclined seated products, such as swings, gliders, soothers, and rockers, for infant sleep and should not leave infants in these products unsupervised, unrestrained, or with bedding material due to the risk of suffocation," the CPSC warned.  The recalled swing has two seat back positions and moves front to back and side to side. It also folds for storage.
